HE'S HERE

Dsc00014_2

We have a baby!  At 12:37AM, Walter Franklin Spickler, Walt for short, made his grand entrance into this world.  He weighed in at 7lbs 13oz.  He is currently recovering from this ordeal in the new baby nursery and Ginger is recovering, too.  Both seem to be doing well although on different floors.  More to come . . .

Congratulations to all! I know this is a very exciting time & make sure you take care of the grandparents too!

  2. Congratulations! He's a fine looking young chap! This is a big time of transition, so make sure that special young man gets plenty of extra attention. I'm referring to Josh, of course. Remember, Josh - breastfeeding is best for the baby and for the dad.
Hadn't we discussed "Brian Spickler"? Denise says congrats, too!

  3. To my new cousin Walt...
I'm so glad you finally made it, you sure did take your time! I have been waiting for you for a while. I can't wait to show you my crib. I hear yours is pretty cool too!
Only bad thing about life on the outside is that they feed you the same thing every day, all day long. It's pretty cold out here too, don't you think?
And wait until you hear these grandparents talk. They get right in your face and say all these crazy things like ahhhh, goooo, ohhhhhhhhhh...like we can't understand English or something!
My mommy and daddy are bringing me on Sunday to see you...let's meet for lunch!
Can't wait to see you Blobby, oops, I mean Walt!
    I love you,
    Cousin Collier

  6. Hey Walt,
Those annoying grown-ups here in this house already sent you an email. But I finally got a hold of the computer. I am so happy that you are here, so Evie and I can play with you in march. Oh yeah, I will have to bring along those grown-ups, since they are my ride! But with any luck they will be too tired for the first day. So you, Evie and I can hang out in peace and quiet.
Love from me and my grown-ups from our side of the ocean and as the grown-ups say over here: Welkom in onze wondere wereld!!!!

  8. Welcome to the world Walt! I know your mommy and daddy are so very excited, and their friends and family are very proud of them, especially your mommy, giving birth is not easy! But it is so very worth it. Way to go Ginger (and Josh too). Welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood, and please give my congratulations to the grandparents and aunts and uncles! Mom sends her congratulations as well. Very best wishes.
    Love, Sally

  9. Dear Walt,
First of all, welcome in this world!
Your cousin Collier already told you about how your life will be in the upcoming months. I can tell you now: it will get even better! Once your parents understand that a baby can eat fruit a whole new world opens. Every month you'll be able to show them a few new tricks. My latest trick is walking and making my aunt Harriet smile!
    Love, Anouk
P.S. my parents congratulate yours on your arrival!

  13. Walt,
You are such an adorable baby! Where did you get your good looks? Must be from your mom!haha! I don't think I'll ever meet a baby who is as loved as you, except for my Ellen, of course!
Nurse well for mom, sleep well for dad!
