This is how Walt spends his days (all three of them). Unfortunately, he has different ideas about how to spend his nights. He is not the night sleeper his mom is and tends to exhibit more of his father's habit of staying up late and sleeping late. Oh well, it could be worse. It's just more time we get to spend with him.
Ginger's mom is still here helping out. Stephen, Kim and Collier (Ginger's brother's family) left this morning on their way back to Louisville. They, of course, had to stop in Murray to see Grandaddy Richard along the way. It was very nice to have them here so soon after Walt's arrival. Stephen and I even got to squeeze in a Memphis Grizzlies game last night while the ladies enjoyed an evening with the babies and the television. Grizzlies won, by the way. That's three games above .500, if anyone cares. Stephen and I were very responsible fathers and did not spend a dime on any of the cute miniature Grizzlies gear at the gift store. I'm sure we won't always be so responsible.
Anyway, I guess things are creeping back to normal. We'll let you know exactly how normal after tonight.
Congratulations! Walt is beautiful!! We wish you the very best. Can't wait until Evan and Walt can hang. We love you! Hang in there! MAZEL TOV! Love, Nancy, Thomas, and Evan

Well Walt, I fed the birds today and thought about you and can't wait until you're here to help me pour the feed into the feeders. The birds all flew in immediately since it's been awhile since I fed them, as I've been in Memphis holding you and sharing all the joy you've already brought to so many. The cardinals are such a beautiful red this time of year, and I know it won't be long until you'll be able to see their bright red color as they sit on the feeders.
ReplyDeleteI want to be able to pull you around in the yard in your wagon, but I also want to enjoy every minute of these months that you're so dependent on others because before long you'll be running around and expressing your independence. I love you and will be there soon to see you again.
Josh,
ReplyDeleteThis has become my favorite website.
I check it even before my emails every morning. Hope you guys keep it up for a long time, so the far-away people can see him grow too.
I must have shown this site to everybody I know. And most of them remember you from our wedding, and all of them think Walt is adorable.
Well, we have started to train Pup to sleep in the bedroom with us in her carrier (as opposed to her cage in her own room) and started shopping for rental cars, in other words we are on our way!!!!!!!!!!!
Richard wants to know if you will still be a Grizzlie fan in march, he volunteers to join you.
Love Harriet
Ya'll just let Walt sleep whenever he wants. He'll learn soon enough about schedules! I love being able to (sort of) communicate with ya'll how I'm feeling about my newest great-nephew. He's so gorgeous, and I may have to stow away in the LS this weekend so I can get my hands on him. I'm so happy for ya'll and so grateful that the past nine months and the delivery were such a pleasant experience for you both. Now get ready for the most exciting time of your lives. Uncle Larry and I send all our love.
ReplyDeleteHey, little guy that used to couldn't tie his shoe and that sucked his thumb. Now you're a big ole Daddy!! How exciting is that!! I am SOOOOOOO happy and excited for you guys! This is such an incredible, awesome time of your life! I send my "hugest congrats" to you both. There are stressful, sleepless, trying times, but just enjoy it all. It flies by WAY to quickly! Praise God for this little miracle that He created and allowed you to tend to for Him. May you raise him to live his life for God. What a blessing! Kiss his little chubbby soft cheeks for me!! Much love and care, Dana
