The whole fam is in the car downtown. Walt is yammering away in the backseat, as usual.
"See that white sign?" Walt asks, pointing to a "No Parking" sign. "That sign says . . . . . I don't know what it says," he said, sounding fairly surprised at this discovery.
You know why, Buddy? Because you're two and a half and YOU CAN'T READ.
You know what? I've actually heard him do that surprised-I-don't-know voice. And yet, somehow, he still comes off as genius...
ReplyDeleteHe may not be able to read but he sure can locate EVERY "W" on signs around town! He owns the "W"! Just give him a few months and he'll be reading those signs!

ReplyDeleteYeah, Walty, we're in the same boat as you right now. We see lots of signs and don't know what they say (currently in Taipei, Taiwan)
