Skeptical Walt

Dsc00008

Okay, maybe we're reading too much into the facial expressions of a one-month old, but this is the look he has on his face a lot, and it seems to say, "Are you people sure you know what you're doing here?"  (The answer to that, of course, is no.)

Walt made his first contribution to civic life yesterday when he attended the Boys & Girls Club board meeting with Mommy.  He didn't have too much to add to the discussion, but was at least quiet the whole time, for which Mommy was grateful.

  1. Do you check his diaper after he does this?!

  2. I mean seriously...could my nephew be any cuter? Lovin' the double chin...just give him a few more weeks and he'll be sporting the triple chin like his cousin Collier!

  3. He is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so anxious to kiss those chubby cheeks. Please be careful traveling today -- precious cargo, you know. Love, Aunt Brenda

  4. He looks so grown up! Not that skeptical necessarily = wise, but he definitely looks wise beyond his months.

  5. I would call that look contemplative...put a pair of reading glasses on the end of his nose and Walt looks like his Granddaddy! And, yes...definitely wise beyond his months!

  6. So I know about 9 babies born in the last three months of my friends (no kidding). Our fridge is full of pictures of one month olds and we like Walt's the best. Because I'm confident that no one else that I'm mentioning will check this site, I can also say that after a conversation with my brother, who announced that newborns don't really look that cute (in fact some in particular look like monkeys [we'll save the picture because he's right]), I sent him to Walt's world and he said, "finally, a cute newborn." So there you go. Ginger, I remember you suggesting years ago that you and Josh would most definately produce a weird looking child. If by "weird" you meant "cute", then perhaps you were right.
