As you know from the previous post, Walt lost his umbillical cord yesterday, so that means . . . first real bath!! Mommy was pretty excited about it. Walt, not so much. He didn't scream the whole time, just most of the time. We think he'll grow to love it, though.
Josh and I also learned a little lesson about bathtime. You'll notice that we gave Walt his bath in the kitchen sink, and at the end closest to the camera is our dish rack. Some of you might remember from a post a few days ago that we discovered that Walt does indeed have a good "arc" to his pee stream. Well, I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Let's just say we had to rewash the dinner dishes.
Walt did seem to enjoy the post-bath lotion rubdown . . .
I'm glad Walt has finally gotten revenge by causisng you to have to rewash the dinner dishes. I'm sure when he learns to read in a few weeks he's going to be humiliated by everyone knowing sooooooo much about his bathroom habits!
ReplyDeleteNana loves you, Walt, and I can't wait to see you next weekend. We'll plan some good things to post about Mommy and Daddy then, even if we have to make up a few things.
I very well remember, Walt, that your Daddy was not too happy about his baths for the first two months of his life. Things got easier, though, when we discovered he was much calmer if we sang to him. Seems he still likes singing while he's in the shower; it's just everyone else in the house who cries then! Just kiddin'--love to the three of you.
ReplyDeletewhat a coincidence tody was my first bath too!! just kidding! (obviously) well, i am glad he is clean and he didn't look too mad about it either. i am just sitting in the PICU and thought i would see what the day held for him. i was hoping to see you this weekend but i am on call so i guess not. that would be quite the commute if called. anyway, kiss him for me!!
