Christmas 2006, Part 4

P1020443

Christmas is long over now and I feel that we're losing momentum with these Christmas posts, so I'm just going to go ahead and give you the pictures of the present openings (both the Murray and Nashville versions) in a photo album at left.

Somehow, we made it back to Memphis with everything in our car, but we're pretty sure that even a minor fender-bender would have caused it to pop like a pinata, spewing toys in a 100-ft. radius.  Walt is certainly a lucky little boy to have so many people who love him.  Thanks for sharing Christmas with us!

  1. Ingenuity was quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. That pose was so precious. It's so funny how the cleaning/organizing runs in the family. Hope Walty has fun with all his toys!!!! Merry Christmas!

  2. I agree with Aunt Gigi...Walt looked like the little boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar...but who could ever fuss at him? Thanks for all the wonderful pictures! I think Evie's pose sums it up for all of us...Christmas is over!

  3. I'm so glad your birthday is here, Walt--another opportunity to get you some much-needed toys. I think Dad would enjoy a flashlight for the Zippity Zoo tent when you want to camp in the backyard during warm weather (that would be in February in Memphis).
I love you, Walt! See you on your birthday!

  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! How could you have possibly gotten as cute and sweet as you are in just two short years--what a blessing! We enjoyed seeing you open your gifts yesterday and to see how much you are loved by so many. If Da-ee has trouble getting everything packed into the car, you'll just have to rev up the ol' fire engine and head to Memphis.
    We love you, Walter Franklin!

  7. Young Walt, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young Walt, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young Walt, cause you act like a clown.
There's no need to be unhappy.
Young Walt, there's a place you can go.
I said, young Walt, when blog-readers want to know.
You can go there, and I'm sure you can find
Pictures and stories of all of your good times.
    It's fun to go to Walt's W-O-R-LD,
    It's fun to go to Walt's W-O-R-LD,
It has everything the fans want to know,
You can see all the places that Walt wants to go.
PLEASE update so this song will be true!

  8. I will now join the throng clamoring for bday info. It's not OUR fault you travel for your birthdays, Walt. Share the love! Or I will withhold certain T R U C K books that may have been purchased for said birthday. That's right, I'm not above a bribe. It's a mob mentality here.

  9. Poor, poor Ginger--you are getting just a tiny taste of how people treat you when your children get older--NO RESPECT! I must admit, however, a new post is anticipated here in G'ville, too.
