Nothing too exciting to report this week, but I know you want some new pictures, so without commentary from me:
Okay, maybe just one brief comment. Josh and I spent about an hour this evening watching the video (yes, singular -- we haven't been very good at the videoing) of Walt's life. A good portion of the video was devoted to his first birthday party, at which he received the ride-on toy he is riding (naked) on in the above picture. In the video, as we open the gift, I push the button to make it start playing its song and a discussion ensues amongst the party-goers about how it's always the grandparents (Nana and Putty in this case) who give the loud, annoying toys. I am then overheard saying, "It's really not that grating to listen to." At hearing those words escape from my mouth on the TV screen, Josh and I turn and stare at each other because, as it turns out, I was wrong. Oh, so wrong.
Naked riding. Hmm, I think he can already cross one of the "To Do Before Graduating Rhodes List." Pretty sure that was on there. Walt you are too cute and your hair is looking so blonde. A blue eyed blonde with no tan lines. Love it.
ReplyDeleteCome on Ginger, It is ok to listen too!
ReplyDeleteHarriet, if you want to come back over for oh, let's say a five month visit and listen to that thing play, "Here we go, here we go, here we go . . ." over and over again all day every day (he won't let it play the whole song -- he just keeps pushing the button so it only plays the first three words incessantly), THEN you may say that it's not that bad!
ReplyDeleteThat boy, that BOY! He's much too cool to be living in Memphis. And that's exactly what I say before I race each time: "Here we go, here we go..." I needs me a button like that on my Mustang. Move east, young man, move east. Please!
ReplyDeleteLove ya, kid!
Uncle B
No cute title needed when you have pictures of such a cute kid (and mother and father!). Thanks. Can't wait til tomorrow night!
ReplyDeleteLove you all,
Aunt Brenda
Walt, you look great as a blond! You look like a little surfer boy! I can't wait to see you this weekend! I know you are having fun at Nana and Putty's house today.
ReplyDeleteI must say that you look so much like your mommy in the picture in front of the flowers. I have pictures of her at your age that look so similar! The pictures in this post are adorable...how could they be anything else? Hurry to Murray tomorrow. I can't wait to show you the giant sand sculpture of Daniel Boone downtown...made for FreedomFest. It is amazing! I love you lots!
Anybody out there, who wants to sponsor this challenge??
ReplyDeleteI know I will last five months with that thing! I play new CD's over and over and over again in my car for months at a time. Mostly just my two or three favorite songs.
If I have enough sponsors to fly out, I will prove it!
Have a great 4th of july weekend!!
Wow Walty,
ReplyDeleteyou sure do look like your mama in that second picture!
Love and miss you!
