Deprogramming

Img_4307

We're not saying that the extended weekend with ALL of his grandparents spoiled Walt or anything, but, well . . . I think the picture says it all.  Honestly, I'm not sure who had more fun on our vacation -- us, Walt, or our parents.  Whatever the case, I think it worked out nicely for all of us.  Walt required minimal deprogramming, although I think he was a bit jarred by my unwillingness to cater to his every whim today.  The nerve.  Gram commented that he never cries.  Uh-huh.  What's to cry about when you have four fully-grown adults attending to all your various needs?  Nothing, that's what.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in some photos of our vacation, you can check out the "Sonoma Trip" album at left.  But as for this column, we'll leave you with this gem:

He loves him some macaroni and cheese.  (Josh thinks this picture bears a frightening resemblance to Nick Nolte's mug shot: http://tinyurl.com/8oy8)

  1. Poor Putty--he's had no one to help him water the flowers or feed the birds. He's like a lost puppy moping around this empty house. It's almost sinful the way he constantly talks about you (to anyone, and I mean anyone, who'll listen). It's probably a good thing he returns to work Monday or I'd have to send him for some other type of therapy.
We love you and had so much fun while you were here--looking forward to the next time Mommy and Daddy need Nashville babysitters. In the meantime, Nana has to do some deprogramming herself because Putty thinks he can dip his biscuits in whipped cream now. Gotta' run, Walt, Putty's in the road chucking rocks again!

  2. I'm on a flower picture trend myself and, consequently, I LOVED looking at your great pics of the the Cali-Flora (oh, that's cute). Cali-Flora. Anyway, good job. It looks like the weather was perfect and everything was as beautiful as it should be. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow! (Well, I get to see the boys tonight...You'll be busy with your 15 minutes of fame!).

  6. Nice pictures, hope you enjoyed your vacation & all, but...you made it all the way to NoCal & didn't call??? You could have spend part of your vacation being entertained by an energetic little toddler boy...oh, wait a minute. On second thought, I guess you had an excuse. Hope you had a wonderful vacation! :)
