Day Two of Boys Weekend went off without a hitch. It started with a warm, windy eight-miler with Walt in the stroller. Back home for a shower and then off for a quick trip to Target where I'm certain we undercut Mommy's average puchase amount by at least $55. And that included this gem:
That's right; it is the Fisher-Price Elmo's Grow With Me Sprinkler with 2 Play Modes. When the temperature gets in the 90's, a boy's got to cool off.
Here's a movie of Walt enjoying the Elmo sprayer:
Oh yeah, and we went to another crawfish party, and Walt and I ate some more crawfish. No pictures of the crawfish eatin' I'm afraid. It's difficult keeping track of a 16 month-old and eating crawfish and making conversation. It leaves little time for photos. There is one of the two of us at the party, however.
One more thing. I might as well confess before someone notices and calls me on it. I put his little pool shoes on the wrong feet.
Hey, a guy has to leave room for at least one mistake over a 48-hour period, doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteWalt is going to want Mommy to leave more often, I'm afraid. Of course, we know who is now going to be pestered every hour of every day to go out and play with Elmo, right? Thanks for that, Daddy.
ReplyDeleteHey, Josh! Great job although I am sure your Target trip would be shameful to those of us who are pros! Oh, yeah, cute kid too!!!!
ReplyDeleteMiss you, Walty!
Uncle Larry cleaned up my car this weekend, and he told me I had to stay at home today if it was raining. Well, it's raining (what else is new??), and I would have been tempted to stay at home if I had not had hopes of seeing new pictures of Walt. Thank you, Josh, for doing such a great job in Ginger's absence -- both in taking care of Walt and finding time to post. If I don't smile again all day, at least I had a great laugh at the shoes!! We love you all.

Great job, Daddy!!! Don't worry shoes on the wrong feet are a small thing in the grand scheme! Walt looks happy and that's what counts! I might call it to the attention of Walt's World fans that NEW pictures have been added to this post. It may not be obvious to those who don't look at WW 10 times a day! Looks like "guys weekend" was a big success...and we certainly enjoyed having Mommy here! Thanks for sharing her!
ReplyDeleteLawwwd! I can't resist. OK, here we go...
ReplyDeletePrivate school secondary edumacation: $5,000 per year
Rhodes College tuition: $20,000 per year
Law School tuition: Cra$y
Having a son: A recent study says over $165,000 before age 18.
Puttin' velcro shoes on the wrong feet (when EVERYONE knows the velcro goes toward the outside) AND THEN posting it on the internet for all to see: PRICELESS!
Josh, tell Walty his cousin Mitch would be glad to let him ride backward on his new Sea-Doo to fix this problem. Otherwise, we'll be gettin' sideways of you the next time we see y'all. LOL!
Not to blaspheme Ginger in any way, but this has been the best 'post' yet. I'm with ya, though. When 'mommy' leaves for any extended period of time (heck, even for a few hours sometimes), things just seem to fall apart don't they? Wonder why that is?
Thanks for the laugh! And I still love Walt...no matter if his highly educated Dad can't get the shoes right.
Love,
Uncle Brian
Hello from Nashville. I just visited your grandaddy Frank. I had an Elmo sprinkler just like yours. I like your speedos too.
