Walt Is One Year Old Today, I Say

Img_0032

Walt is a very tired one-year old this evening.  We celebrated his first birthday today at Nana and Putty's.  The guest list was long and distinguished.  Here are the highlights.  In pictures, of course.

The theme, if you couldn't tell, was Dr. Seuss.  Walt wasted little time diving into his green egg cake.  Alas, we couldn't find any green ham.

We may have a shortage of photos and video of the cake eatin'.

Collier was more than happy to be the motor for Walt's new vehicle, a gift from Putty and Nana.

Putty made balloon hats for the occasion.  Aunt Gigi sported hers from start to finish.

Walt, of course, preferred this box as his hat.

Walt got undressed for the cake eatin'.  We learned from watching cousin Collier.

Young and old enjoyed the festivities.  Here's Walt and Mommy on the sofa with Walt's two great-Grannys.

Although this photo was taken before it all started, the look on Walt's face sums it up.  He was a very tired little boy.  That's cousin Drew giving Walt a place to rest and a refreshing beverage.

I guess I'll have to check back again tomorrow (good way to get more hits!!!)
