Just thought it would be interesting to note that we started our blog last year on January 5th (not that we told anyone about it until the arrival of you-know-who), and as of midnight last night, Walt's World has had a grand total of 23,766 hits. Our numbers have definitely fallen off since those early days when everyone tuned in to see pictures of the new human and to hear tales of our ineptitude as parents, but those of you who are still around know that the pictures now are even cuter and the potential for our parental goof-ups just increase by the day! So, here's to another happy year in Walt's World -- thanks for keeping up with us.
-The Management
Well, let's go for another 5 years! At least. On behalf of the eijpen-fans, Thank you soooo very much for keeping us up to date. Ever since Walt was born, we visit his blog everyday ( I guess we are responsible for at least 23000 of those hits). Keep the pictures and stories coming.
ReplyDeleteIt was unbelievable to meet a 3-month old and know that you would have been able to pick him out of 100.000 other baby boys. When I come back, I know I would be able to do it again. We know the boy!!
Well I can't wait until I am coming over, and until then I will keep up to date with the blog.
Thank you again, management for sharing your favorite toy with us!
Love from Huizen
Dear Management,
ReplyDeleteI am writing to inform you that your publication is the BEST! I religiously check Walt's World several times a day...just in case Walt has done something newsworthy that day! We definitely want to subscribe again this year. Although your "hits" may have dropped off a bit that is not at all indicative of the amount of joy Walt's World brings to so many everyday...around the world! Forgive us for being a bit lazy in responding! I implore your readers to notify the management that Walt's World should continue in 2006!!! The fun is just beginning...Walt will be ONE YEAR on Jan. 15...and then there will be the Terrible TWO's...and then Kindergarten...you get the picture! We don't want to miss a thing! Thanks for all of your hard work and creativity in sharing Walt with us all. We love you!!! Keep up the good work.
For the record -- we love the blog and being able to participate (if only electronically) in the life of the boy we love so much. We implore management to keep up the good work and want you to know how much we enjoy it. Martha and I visit every day :-)
ReplyDeleteDearest Walt, I mean "Management", I am so looking forward to this year. There'll be so many new adventures to follow and so many that I'm sure we won't get to see (temper tantrums, Mommy and Daddy giving in to your wishes and not their own, etc.), but you can just believe that Nana will be one of your greatest followers. I heard Harriet thought she had made 23,000 of those hits, but I think we'll have to divide that since I have no doubt my number would be at least 11,500 since your page is the "home page" of our Internet.
ReplyDeleteI am so very excited to see this next year of your life and cannot believe one year has already passed us by. You have fans that you have never even seen and they're watching, so continue to be the sweet, adorable baby boy that you've been. You'll never know how many smiles you bring to faces just by being Walt.
I will have to tell you that our Children's Minister, Jeff, is so disappointed that you got your first haircut because now he can't see your "swirl", and he just thought that was the coolest.
Can't wait to see you this coming weekend. Don't tell Putty I told you, but he has been in the attic today getting out toys that your daddy played with and scrubbing them up for you to play with when you get here. I sure hope you've memorized all the states and their capitals because he has the puzzle ready for you! He also has Daddy's stool that his granddaddy made him, so now you can climb and do all the things the stool was not meant to assist you in doing just like Daddy used to do.
Love you, Precious Walt!
Hello Walt!
ReplyDeleteI guess since your Nana let you know that I followed your life via the blog and the incessant "Walt-talk" around FBC Joelton (yeah, that Putty likes to talk you up! You would think you were the, well, you are the apple of his eye). Anyway, I am excited that you are celebrating your first birthday. Maybe your parents can give Abbey and I some advice on how to set up a killer blog when it is time for us to have a little one as well.
Surely you people would not even give consideration to stopping my only reason for coming to work some days!! This blog is the next best thing to being there, and I would have serious withdrawal without it. I think Walt has become my obsession, but I'm not one bit ashamed of myself. I'm excited that I will get to share in his birthday party this weekend, and I enjoyed every minute I was able to spend with him during Christmas. I also think I should tell you that complete strangers (at least to ya'll) regularly check the blog. This weekend Teri brought Jennifer, her best friend (since 4th grade!), to our house, and she mentioned that she still checks the blog to see Walt. I realize you put a lot of time and effort into our entertainment, but please know how much enjoyment you are providing for countless people. We don't want to miss a thing! And thank you so much for sharing. I love you all!
ReplyDeleteAunt Brenda
Wow- I've been cyber-stalking you for a whole year! Maybe 2006 will be the year I actually meet Walt in person, instead of just admiring him from afar.
