Happy New Year!
Despite his appearance in the above photograph, Walt got to bed well before the stroke of midnight last evening. He is getting his first check-up of the new year from Grandaddy. It's just routine maintenance, we assure you. He's been a little congested lately. Grandaddy confirmed that it was nothing to worry about.
Speaking of hair, we never filled you in on the first "official" haircut a few weeks ago. Walt made a visit to Natilee the week before Christmas. Natilee is in charge of Daddy's lid and formerly Hubie Brown's before he decided that he no longer wanted to coach the Girzzlies. We don't know who cuts his hair now, but Natilee still cuts Daddy's. If she's good enough for Daddy and the 2004 NBA Coach of the Year, she's good enough for Walty.

Happy New Year, Walt! What new things will you accomplish in 2006??? I can only imagine! I can hardly wait for all of the the fun this year! Grandaddy and I had a great time at your house last weekend. You sure stay busy! Love you bunches! See you at your birthday party in Nashville!

Walt, I wonder in all of Granddaddy's years of practice how often he's had a patient look at him with such endearment. You look as though you know exactly what he's doing and have utmost trust in your doctor. Of course, I must say that hairdo is another subject, but I know Granddaddy is proud of your accomplishment even though it probably takes you a few more than eight hours to get yours done.
