Walt has had a big Labor Day weekend at Nana and Putty's -- even if he does wonder sometimes about who all these crazy people are (enlarge picture for message on his onesie). On Saturday he got to go to Cousin Drew's football game and then to lunch with Uncle Brian, Aunt Wendy, Mitchell, Nina and Drew (and Nana and Putty, of course). He held court in his highchair at the end of the table, keeping everyone entertained with his charming smiles and babbles. Today, we went to see Great-Granny and visited with her on the porch. It's much cooler here than in Memphis. (Check out Mommy's new 'do!)
Then when we got home (after a short nap), we all went down to the pool and went swimming -- Walty's favorite! (Although we're not sure who really had more fun.)
Finally, it was time for a bath in the sink. Yes, we know we should move him to the real bathtub, but he just loves the sprayer soooo much!
It's been a fun weekend!
Oh, and Evie has finally discovered that Walt just might be useful to have around after all:
Walt,
ReplyDeleteIf the smiles are any indication, your first Labor Day weekend was a great success! I don't know if anybody noticed how much you look like Cousin Collier in the last picture (black & white)! I couldn't help but wonder if Nana ever thought her grandson would be taking a bath in her kitchen sink?! I think Mommy and Daddy will have to get you a hand held shower when you move to the bathtub (hold out for a good massaging type).
I laughed until I cried watching you and Evie playing with her scarf...just a word of warning...don't mess with her scarf and she won't mess with your rattle. Oh, is that still the SAME styrofoam cup???
Walt, I miss you so much. You are one sweet baby who brightens up each day for us all! I love you!
Hi Walt,
ReplyDeleteWhen we bought that scarf many many years ago, we could never have imagined it would end up in the great movie. You have to show Collier the scarf, then all the grandbabies and granddogs have played with it! We love the Laborday pictures. Isn't the Spicklerhouse a fun place to play?! I always have to take Richard there too when we visit Nashville.
And Richard wants me to tell you that he has to take his bath in the sink too the next two weeks, until they are done building our new bathroom.
Love from a very very sunny Holland
I never comment because I don't want you to think I'm stalking you, but I look at this website all the time! But I was wondering- does washing Walt with steel wool get him extra clean? What is Josh doing to your baby!
