Lunger

As Mary Poppins would say, he's "practically perfect in every way"!  Dr. Sepulveda proclaimed him so at the end of his appointment today.  He weighed in at 16 3/4 lbs. and measured 25 1/2 inches.  Right on track.  The most interesting part of the visit, though, was when the doctor asked if he had started the fake coughing yet.  Why, yes, in fact.  Just a few days ago, he started it -- he sticks his tiny tongue out and makes a pathetic little hacking sound.  Clearly not a real cough.  We had already started calling our little faker "Typhoid Walty".  According to Dr. Sepulveda he's doing it -- get this -- just to get attention!  Because he's not getting enough?  (Extra points for you if you get the Tombstone reference in the title.)

Coming tomorow . . . REALLY cute pictures of Walt and Evie together.  Tune in!

  2. Walt, Nana is so glad to hear that you are not really sick. I thought when you would cough this weekend that that dread disease ("attentionless") was going to be bad news. I should have known the doctor would have you all figured out since you are such a perfect specimen of a human. I hope she didn't charge Mommy and Daddy to tell them that because Nana and Putty have known it for 5-1/2 months now. Try to get over your cough, but if you don't, Gram, Granddady, Putty and I will surely have the cure in a couple weeks when we all come to Memphis. I believe it is either contagious or Putty has caught on to your trick! He just loves attention, too (mostly in the way of purchasing shirts and chocolate).
I love you and miss seeing your precious face in the early mornings.

  3. Because the builders had cut the phoneline to the upstairs connection (home of the computer since the building started), we had no internet since thursdaynight. Hoping that it would be fixed yesterday, we didn't take any action, but nothing happened. So today we dragged the computercabinet into the empty livingroom, we sawed a hole in the kitchencabinet's back to be able to access the plug and I fixed it to the extent that we are back online downstairs and we can use the phone again. All that trouble was worth every bad word, drop of sweat and bruise.......Walt and Evie!!!! We needed that fix, an update on the water running down the stairs, flood in the attic, check our site. Thank you Ginger and Josh for making this very very very bad day, a reasonable good one!!! I will chack back in an hour and looking at the pictures again will make it a very good day, I'm sure.
