For a few minutes anyway. (Long enough for me to take this picture, obviously.) We still have to stay within arm's reach of him, but today he sat by himself for a good five minutes before starting to teeter backwards. Fortunately, Mommy was there to save him from a good bonk on the head. Sorry about the picture quality, but I was trying to take the picture really fast in case he started to topple.
Hit Update: We're still under 14,000 hits with just about nine days to go until the big six-month birthday. However, we can still make it if we average about 120 hits a day. I'm not asking anyone to pad the numbers by checking in repeatedly during the day (unless, of course, you already do -- grandparents and Harriet!), but just make sure to check in everyday. I know there was a bit of a lull over the 4th of July holiday, but we're back and better than ever! We here at Walt's World promise to make a new post everyday (maybe even twice a day if we get crazy!) until the 15th to reward you for your efforts. Coming up tomorrow . . . a report from Walt's 6-month well-baby check-up. What will he weigh? How long will he be? Will Dr. Sepulveda chastise us for not feeding the poor kid any solids yet? Tune in tomorrow for the answers to these questions and more!
Wow! The suspense is building...Walt tell Dr. S you want some real food so we can go to the DQ when you come to Murray at the end of the month! I am so proud of you...you are sitting sooo pretty. When I saw that chair behind you I had flashbacks of you and Mommy rocking when you first came home from the hospital...now you're sitting up!!! I loved the pictures of you with Nana, Putty, Granny and Drew...too bad you don't get any lovin'! Evie, on the other hand, looked like she could use a little! I love you!
ReplyDeleteWell Ginger, here is my first peek of the day, will sure check back later.
