There are lots of pictures. I mean lots. You give a girl a new camera for her birthday and then send her to a picturesque locale with a cute baby and it's hard to stop with the picture taking. So instead of posting them all here, they're in a photo album entitled "Seagrove Beach" at left.
The trip was great. The weather was fabulous -- cool in the mornings, low 80s in the afternoons. I'm really not sure why October is considered the low season because I think the beach is just about perfect this time of year. (Well, except for the biting flies, but we won't dwell on those.)
It was definitely a different experience having a toddler as opposed to a five month old on the beach. Last year we spent time passing him from one set of arms to another, never venturing away from the beach chairs. This year, he had a blast digging in the sand, burying his feet, and running to and fro in the surf. It hardly seems possible that just a little over a year can make so much difference.
Anyway, I won't dwell on my sentimental Mommy thoughts. Enjoy the pictures.
Awwwww!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with so many pictures. I think my favorite is "Footprints", but then I love "Cloud Gazing" and "Walt and Daddy". Oh, heck, they're all wonderful. Thank you again. I'll have a much better day now that I've had my Walt fix!
ReplyDeleteLove to you all,
Aunt Brenda
WOW--what are my favorites? That's hard to choose, but I must say the "Walty Chair" appears as though it may have been the Walty THRONE. The "Footprints" and "Watching the Sunset" would have to be my other favorites. What memories these are, and I know that he'll be forever grateful for the two wonderful parents he has. Memories like these will last a lifetime. Thanks for allowing us to share!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had such a good time and glad you're all home safely.
What great pictures!!! I also think "Footprints" would have to be my favorite...so sweet! I said the same thing Nana said about Walt's Chair---it was obviously his throne---he will need one at home now. Other favorites: "In The Surf", "Diggin In", "Daddy the Sand Magician" (The look on Walt's face is priceless...I know that Daddy will always inspire the same degree of awe!)and I love "Pretty" for its simplicity. Someone is having fun with the new camera! The gift that keeps on giving...to us all! Walt is looking less like a baby in these pictures (sorry Ginger!)---but no less adorable! I'm so glad you all had a great vacation. Love you!!!
ReplyDeleteOoops! I forgot to mention that the little sandy feet picture in the post is also so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWe were in Seaside a few days before you got to Seagrove Beach, and I have to agree that October is the best time to hit the coast! The weather was perfect, and it wasn't crowded. Glad you all had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI was so busy at work, that I just now had time to watch the pictures. They are great!
ReplyDeleteI feel so good about my decision to come in feb, Walt grows up so fast , if I wait longer HE will not want to play with the noise toys anymore!
Love from us
