Poor Putty

Img_4131_1

The good news is that Putty came through his surgery very well and the early prognosis on his prostate cancer is excellent.  The bad news is that he's still not feeling so hot, so they're keeping him an extra day in the hospital.  But there was one very short visitor who seemed to make him feel much better!

In case you're wondering, they didn't accidently remove Putty's eye instead of his prostate -- it just got a little irritated somehow during the anesthesia process and patching it helped it feel better.  Of course, we think he just wanted Walt to think that his Putty was a pirate.  Aaarrrgghhh!!

Get well soon Putty! We think that a 1,000,000 milligram dose of Walt should do the trick! We're praying for you.

  2. Hey Putty!
I'll bet that none of the pills the nurses have given you made you smile like that visit from Walt! We are so glad the surgery went well...hope you are feeling MUCH better today and can go home and play with Walt. As I type, Josh is out running around the streets of Nashville---The Country Music Marathon. I am still amazed that he can do that!
Richard and I are thinking of you and praying for a speedy recovery!

Get Well, Frank!! We know a week of Walty will have you running around again in no time! Hope the meds will do the same. We too are praying for you.

  4. I am so sorry that Putty had to have surgery, but I am thrilled that he is on the mend. I am also thrilled that I could do my part and watch Walt on the day of surgery so Josh and Ginger could lend moral support to my sister. Let me tell you, if you have never signed on for a day with Walt, please get your name on the list! It was just the best!! I don't want people to get the "big-head" (Putty, Nana, Gram, Granddaddy, Josh and Ginger), but that is the best baby ever and cuter than the pictures on the blog if you can believe that! I had a blast, and he didn't seem to mind having me as a babysitter. Of course, I had to take Friday off to recuperate, but it was well worth it. I love you, Walt. And thank you Josh and Ginger.
    Love,
    Aunt Brenda
