Stackin' and Relaxin'

The cold, icy weather led to a warm, lazy Saturday here at Walt's house.  So, we practiced our Mega Block skills.  (And by "we" I mean me, of course.)  Walt only practiced stealing crucial blocks and then knocking the whole thing over as soon as he could.

We all spent the entire day in the same outfits.  (I promised Ginger I wouldn't reveal which outfit she chose, but I'll give you a hint.  It starts with a 'p' and ends with 'ajamas'.)  Anyway, Walt's outfit was this cute red sweatshirt he'd never worn before.  Problem is, I think we waited a little too long for its debut.  See what you think.  No plumber jokes, please.

A little snug.

We didn't make the same mistake with this extremely cute sweater that Harriet's mom made for him when he was born.  We let him wear it during the Olympics even though it makes him look like a Dutch speed skating fan.

  1. Okay folks, I can no longer keep the silence. Whenever you write about having been to Nana's and Putty's, you refer to "Nashville". Some of your readers might not realize Nana & Putty actually live in Goodlettsville, a Nashville suburb. I've just let this go UNTIL the post from the "Springfield, Tennessee, fan club".
As another resident of the same Nashville suburb mentioned above, I just cannot let Goodlettsville continue to remain without the credit it is due. Walty, you have a HUGE fan club here, and I feel that it is my responsibility to finally let you know that. And since I am the acting president of said fan club, I really do believe you need to check in here once in a while just to see if everything is operating to your satisfaction.
I can't seem to find you at church when I'm there on the same day when you're here visiting, otherwise I would save you the trip to my house, since I live so far out of your way. I'll bet Nana & Putty probably don't like sharing you on "their" time, so maybe they could stop by here with you, just to keep them happy.
Until that time, we'll just be checking the blogs at least three times a day. Your Mommy and Daddy are such dear hearts for sharing all the news with all of us in your GOODLETTSVILLE FAN CLUB.

  2. Hey Walt,
We here in the Springfield Fan Club would like to let you know that we have a strong relationship with the Goodlettsville Fan Club. In fact, because Springfield is so lacking in many areas other that the We love Walt Fan Club which no city should be without, we visit G-ville quite often. I also did not know that Mrs. Lucas was such an active member. I will make sure the next time you are here, I go by and let her out of teaching 3 year old Sunday School early so she can see you. We do, by the way, check the Walt blog 3 times a day. Do you think you could get your parents to post more often?

  5. Walt,
What a lucky boy you are to have such talented Dutch friends. Do you think you could stretch that sweater to Nana's size. I love it, but I think you're a big part of why it's so beautiful.
Oh, how much I love you, Precious. Nana hopes to see you soon.
