So, maybe I'm not a great parent after all, but you gotta admit this is a funny picture. Walt and I were awaiting our first trick-or-treaters, and he was alternately amused and terrified by my $1.49 last minute costume. This was a terrified moment. Hey, I was the one with a twenty pound chicken on my lap. You should've seen my face behind that mask.
Not to worry, Walt soon made friends with a good witch who stopped by for some candy.
Here's Walt trying to get away from the kids who came by dressed as Tyson employees:
He didn't get very far. He still can't crawl (or fly).
And finally, here's our sweet little rooster in his natural habitat of pumpkins and mums:
I could almost hear a cock-a-doodle-doo come right off this computer, Walt. Nana and Putty were preparing to drive to Memphis to rescue you before we discovered that the nice witch changed that sweet face from a scowl to a smile. You better run/fly from those Tyson employees because everybody would definitely want you, and don't let Daddy take you to Gus' either! I saw a lot of spooks tonight but none nearly as cute as you! We love you!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! That is great! Walt looks like he was enjoying himself - except for the first picture... What did you make him eat for dinner?
ReplyDeletePetrea was dressed up like a black cat. She helped us scare the neighborhood kids, then, of course, came in and began learning about how we root for the Steelers. All in all a good first halloween! Glad you guys had fun!
Chris
Hey, I got it!!!! The theme this halloween was: Old McDonald's Farm! Brilliant. Walt, you were a good looking chicken. Make sure you take the costume off before visiting us though, we have crazy chicken- or mad bird disease here or something.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Harriet
I think that is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He made a perfect rooster. I can't believe how cute that was. Is he sharing his candy?
ReplyDeleteMiss you tons, Walt!!
Wow, Walt, great costume!
