If Walt is awake, he is either playing, talking about or thinking about basketball.
He must have been thinking about basketball when he dressed himself this morning:
Meanwhile, the short one lets us put solid food into his mouth . . . and then he promptly spits it right back out. He seems surprised by the whole idea.
We went to Shelby Forest for a short hike yesterday.
And finally, Mommy loves Patrick.
At some point during the evening, as it was recounted by two independent witnesses, poor Meredith, who was the lone young lady present . . . as usual, was displaying some of her ballet moves to the grown-up girls. Walt was standing by, apparently taking a break from playing Star Wars with Adam. Also, as usual. One of the grown-up girls commented to Meredith that she was a good dancer with very strong feet.
Walt: "That is totally not a power that will help us defeat the Dark Side."
Rumor has it, he rolled his eyes as he said it.
We realize we've been quiet around here, but we haven't been sitting on our hands. We were considering starting a blog just for the list of excuses for not blogging, but, instead, we started a collaborative blog with our friends, the Grishams, with whom we share carpool duty two days a week. Walt and his friend, Adam, who is no stranger to these pages, share the backseat on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the short trip to and from school. Their conversations are . . . well . . . entertaining to say the least. So, we decided to try to capture as much of their insight, humor and occasional outrage as possible. Believe me, we're just scratching the surface. Check it out!
